Brightline Bags for Military Use

The BrightLine Pilot Flight Bag isn't just for Civilians. Military Aviators from all over the world, including Pilots, Flight Engineers, Navigators, and Load Masters, are discovering the efficiency and practicability of the BrightLine Bags Pilot Flight Bag.
The BrightLine Flight Bag is perfect for military use due to its small size, big bag storage capability, rugged construction, and modular design. Watch the demo video to see all the specialized features of the bag.

I received one of your pilot bags as a Father's Day gift from my wife. It is truly the BEST flight bag I have ever seen and/or used! Finally I have all my pilot "stuff" organized and in it's own compartment. For too long I have been frustrated with flight bags where the only place to put other items is in with my headset or just carry them separately. The color coded zippers and the pocket sizes are just right and easy to use. I also am very happy with the detachable chart module.

I clearly needed to go buy a bag. Ideally, I wanted the smallest bag possible that would carry all this stuff. Initially, when I went looking for a bag, I was greatly encouraged because at first glance, there are a MILLION different pilot flight bags available everywhere. It seemed like I'd be able to find a bag that would suit my needs without a problem. In very short order, the surprise and disappointment began to set in.

I couldn't believe it, but not only was I unable to find the bag I was hoping for, but I wasn't even finding anything CLOSE. Every bag I looked at was going to cause me to dump my stuff into one or two main pockets and then go rooting through all that stuff to find what I needed.

I wasn't ready to accept this fate yet, so I broadened by search. I started looking at other bags that were meant for other uses. I was SURE that I would find some bag SOMEWHERE that would do what I wanted.
But, alas, my searches were always fruitless. I ended up having to make do, like everyone else, with a bag that sort-of worked. I had no choice but to endure the annoying battle with my semi-functional bag every time I flew.

So partly out of frustration, and partly for fun, I started to design my own flight bag. I decided to see if I could design a bag that would be like the one I would want.

I spent a lot of time at my computer building 3D models of all the items that need to be carried. I showed the resulting CAD model to some of my pilot friends and instructors and they all said they thought it was great. And so Bright Line Bags was born. Bright Line Bags provides Flight Bag, Aviation Bag, Tactical Flight Bag and Military Bag.

Features:

  • Heavy-Duty Nylon construction.
  • 25 specialized pockets.
  • Zips apart into two separate bags so you can choose how much stuff you need to carry today. The result is a main VFR headset compartment and a second document compartment for the XC and IFR documents.
  • Compact size (13" x 10" x 9" - outside dimensions).
  • Anything that is 9.5" x 12.5" or smaller will absolutely fit inside either the front or rear compartment.
  • The front compartment (headset) is 3.5" deep. The rear compartment (documents) is 3.0" deep.
  • Holds two headsets with ease. It will hold two of any kind of headset. Two Lightspeed Zulus. Two Bose X. Two David Clark. Even two Lightspeed 30-3Gs. (Don't use the divider shelf and interlock the two headsets by putting one earcup of one headset between the two earcups of the other headset and have the headbands facing in opposite directions.)
  • Color coded zipper pulls to make it easy to find the right pocket the first time, every time.
  • The Bag is tall enough to hold the navigation charts perfectly. No more protruding or folded charts.
  • A padded shoulder strap is included to allow you to carry the bag hands-free.
  • SwitchSnap&tm; Handle to allow you to swap the shoulder strap and the main handle in the two pairs of clips to allow for the altered CG when bag is zipped apart.
  • External chart pocket for easy access to today's charts.
  • Isolated storage for fuel tester. Keep everything else unsoiled.
